DIY Espresso is crafted to yield a full, sweet and creamy espresso experience. The components change based on seasonality (like all of our coffees!). Currently, it is 90% Brazil Recreio Farm and 10% Ethiopia Aricha.
Recreio Farm is a 4th-generation coffee farm in the Mogiana region of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. They have developed a reputation for excellence, and they really deliver with this pulp-natural lot. Ethiopa Aricha is a naturally-processed coffee from the Aricha sub-region of Yirgacheffe. As a blend, it offers a powerhouse of an espresso that features a ton of milk chocolate and malt with a raspberry sweetness and an incredibly creamy body!
We recommend the following recipe:
- 19 grams dose weight
- 35 grams beverage weight
- 25-27 seconds
- 8-10 days off roast
DIY also tastes great as a brewed coffee, particularly with heavier brews such as French Press or Aeropress. We recommend a 1:15 coffee to water ratio.
All coffees are available in whole bean only.
We roast and ship Monday through Thursday. Orders placed by midnight will be roasted and shipped the next roast day. Orders placed Thursdays or later will be rolled to the next Monday.
